On July 18th, the People's Government of Anhui Province officially promulgated the “Several Policies Supporting the Development of Modern Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry”. The policy clearly stated that it supports the establishment of basic capacity building for major medical and pharmaceutical innovation development such as stem cell bank and translational medicine research center. The identified projects will be subsidized according to 10% of the key equipment investment, up to 20 million yuan.

    At the same time, the government accelerate the promotion of modern medical technology innovation and clinical application such as tumor immunotherapy, cell therapy, and regenerative medicine, and provide funding for projects that have been assessed and approved according to the scientific research and application promotion costs, up to 5 million yuan. 

    Under the premise of insisting that the standards are not reduced, the “green channel” for the examination and approval of innovative medical technology that is urgently needed for clinical practice will be opened, and the examination and approval and time-limited implementation will be accelerated according to the law. For the promotion and application of the same medical technology in many medical institutions in the province, the model of “one-time filing and overall promotion” shall be adopted for examination and approval.
